January 16, 2019 – Calling to End Big Money in Politics
Representative Kat McGhee and I, co-sponsors of HCR 5, testified before the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee on our proposed resolution. If adopted, New Hampshire would be counted among a growing number of states calling for a Constitutional Amendment to overturn the Citizens United v. F.E.C. ruling. Currently, New Hampshire is the only New England state that has adopted such a resolution. It’s time to get big money out of politics.

The Committee also heard testimony on HB111, establishing a committee to study the effects the opioid crisis and domestic violence has on New Hampshire’s children. (This bill may be amended to include both drug and alcohol addiction.) ;
HB163, to add sexual reassignment to the definition of child abuse. (I will be voting against this.)
